Welcome to our website for the Museum of the American GI, Inc. We endeavor to keep living history of the American Serviceman who proudly served our country and continue to do so today. We are a 501 c (3) organization and proudly work to maintain historical equipment that has been used to keep our nation free and provide historical re enactments. The Museum is located at 1303 Cherokee St, College Station, Texas. Coming from Houston, take the Texas World Speedway exit, cross over Hwy 6 and go south on the service road to Cherokee. Turn right on Cherokee and it's the first entrance on the left.Coming from College Station, get off the exit just passed the speedway overpass and turn right on Cherokee. March is just around the corner and coming up fast. All the museum personel are making the arrangements for the up coming get together. MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN G.I. welcomes everyone to OPEN HOUSE 2008. The dates are March 28th & 29th. Vendors come early to get th best spots. Reenactment will be on Saturday at 2:00P. Bring the kids and family and make a day of it seeing, hearing, touching and experiencing the WWII equipment in action as it was 60 years ago. Remember, we still have alot of IWO JIMA sections around so be extremely careful and especially watch out for the kids.
